Overview
Karma Athletics is searching for an energetic and competent Creative Production Manager (CPM) who is proactive, solutions-oriented and enthusiastically motivated to organize photo and video production activities. As a Karma Lead, you are an empowered and goal-oriented individual. You are driven, ambitious and visionary.
The Creative Production Manager is responsible to manage a range of creative brand photography, product photography and videography projects from concept to completion with guidance from the Director of Brand & Creative Service. He/she should have some photography background and extensive project management experience. The ideal candidate will be to lead coordination of internal resources and manage external resources to ensure production requirements and timelines are met.
The CPM must work well in a team environment. He/She will manage internal and external resources and work comfortably with business executives. The CPM must recognize when help is needed to complete assignments and request assistance with proper justification. The individual will operate in a start-up work condition which requires a hands-on mentality and self-initiative.
Travel may be required to company offices, potential store locations, suppliers, and contractors as needed.
This position will report directly to the Director of Brand & Creative Service.
Status
Part-time, Permanent with potential for moving into a Full Time role.
Responsibilities
- Directs Photo and Styling teams to develop and recommend production workflow process.
- Translates the creative and art direction into production requirements: planning and scheduling, team bookings and debriefing resources to meet performance, quality, cost and timeline goals.
- Supports in lifestyle photography for Brand/Marketing content for online and offline projects, as well as, social media.
- Attends weekly status meetings with Creative and Brand team to prioritize objectives.
- Drives production timeline and schedules based on Brand and Marketing objectives.
- Collaborates with Brand and Design team for vision alignment and conceptualization.
- Drives process standardization and continuous improvement.
- Identifies project milestones and ensures that reviews and approval rounds are placed during the collaboration and production process.
- Enforces brand standards for design, video and photography.
- Manages and grows relationship with contracted talent and freelance team members.
- Leads talent and production crews on studio and location shoots.
- Manages team’s short and long-range deadlines to ensure proper resources are available to meet all timelines.
- Ensures contacts, budgets/costs and best practices are well-documented and maintained.
- Reviews status report, modifies schedules or plans as required, and prepares project reports for senior management.
- Confers with specialists to provide advice and to resolve problems.
- Under the direction of the Director of Brand & Creative Service performing/completing other additional projects, duties, and assignments as required and/or by request.
- Being as often as 1 day per month in a retail store and cherishing the impact of your presence on the retail floor.
Required Business Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- BA in Photography and experience in commercial, product and lifestyle photography.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in leading production for brand photography and videography in commercial or agency setting.
- Commercial level Capture One, Adobe Photoshop, Still and video lighting skills.
- Proven experience successfully delivering results in a project management capacity.
- Strong leadership and team building capabilities.
- Exceptional collaboration and organizational skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to set priorities, multi-tasking and meet deadlines.
- Experience hiring, developing and managing a team.
- Understanding of video production, photography and post-production.
- Experience in fashion/apparel industry preferred.
- Aptitude to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives.
- Has the ability to communicate complex issues in laymen’s terms.
- Excellent decision-making and problem resolution skills.
